This year we are putting on “The Megillah According to Rock and Roll.” This is a really funny musical mellerdrama with a LARGE cast of characters (28 PLUS Chorus). Please join us, starting Sunday afternoon, January 30, at 1 p.m.in the South StreetTemplesanctuary.
You don’t have to belong to South Streetto be a player. You can be any age (we need more teens as well as adults, and we need more little kids for two scenes, too). You don’t have to sing well – just loudly and with enthusiasm. The only requirement is that you show up for rehearsals (please be on time) and like to act silly and have fun.
WE ALSO ARE IN DIRE NEED OF A KEYBOARDIST to accompany us at rehearsals and at the performance. Concert performance skills are NOT required. We need someone to keep us on pitch and in rhythm. None of the music is terribly complicated.
TWO CUE CARD HELPERS at every rehearsal and at the performance. These don’t always have to be the same people. It’s not a hard job and you can sit down while you do it. You just have to pay attention to what’s going on and move the cards from the music stand in time for actors to follow their lines.
BABYSITTING during the dress rehearsals. We only have three dress rehearsals. Teens and/or adults could help.
